This year, media and journalism professionals will have a variety of opportunities to come together, network, and learn about the latest trends in the industry. Here are six media events to attend this spring.

The Publishing Show

When: March 1-2

Where: London, United Kingdom

Taking place at the beginning of March, The Publishing Show is the UK’s largest gathering of senior publishing decision-makers. The event focuses on B2B and B2C publishers, newspapers, content providers, and suppliers.

INMA Media Subscriptions Summit

When: March 6-10

Where: Stockholm, Sweden

INMA Media Subscriptions Summit is the news media industry’s largest annual conference focused on subscription growth. This March, the event will be held for the sixth time. The summit consists of three parts: a two-day leaders’ conference, one day of practical workshops, and an optional executive study tour.

Over 300 media professionals are expected, with over 40 speakers. Most participants will be marketing, product, data, and editorial executives, managers, and senior specialists working in the reader revenue space.

12th World Conference of Science Journalists

When: March 27-31

Where: Medellin, Colombia

The World Conference of Science Journalists normally takes place every two years, and it is the largest international event for science journalists. Which topics are emerging? What’s new? How do science journalists face new challenges? These are some of the questions raised at the event.

International Journalism Festival

When: April 19-23

Where: Perugia, Italy

The seventeenth edition of the biggest annual media event in Europe will take place this April. The 2022 festival had 252 sessions and 682 speakers in the five-day programme. (Note that the English-language part of the festival programme will be concentrated on April 20-22. On April 19 and 23, there will be only Italian-language events).

Digital Media Europe 2023

When: April 26-27

Where: Vienna, Austria

Digital Media Europe is one of the largest European conferences for digital news subscription, premium advertising, and local media. For the first time, the event will be combined with WAN-IFRA’s Data Science Day focused on the importance of data as a basis for media business models of the future.

INMA World Congress of News Media

When: May 22-26

Where: New York, United States

The longest-running news media conference in the world, the 93rd Annual INMA World Congress will take place in May. The event will be focused on key themes affecting the media industry: strategy, trends, subscriptions, product, data, advertising, and newsrooms.
