V-Ventures invests in The Fix to bolster European media innovation 

V-Ventures, the investment arm of the Netherlands-based foundation Vereniging Veronica, has acquired a minority stake in The Fix, a European media industry publication, advisory and research hub.

The investment will enable The Fix to develop its research and advisory operations, which helps European media leaders with data-driven decision-making and strategic support. 

“This investment is an important step for The Fix as we are scaling the organization and taking on ambitious research projects like research in cooperation with JX Fund on Russian and Belarusian exiled media, their importance for the democratic struggle of the region and the unique window they offer their audiences”, said Jakub Parusinski, co-founder and director of The Fix.

This formalizes the already existing ties between The Fix and V-Ventures, enabling V-Ventures to support more independent journalistic outlets that are so important in the current media landscape that is under substantial pressure”, said Lot Carlier, executive director of V-Ventures.

About The Fix:

Founded in 2019, The Fix is a media publication and knowledge hub for media professionals. Its mission is cracking the media management puzzle through insights, solutions and data. The organization runs The Fix Media, a trade magazine for European media leaders, and The Fix Research & Advisory, a research and consulting arm.

Since its creation The Fix has built a community of senior media professionals and helped steer important discussions on media strategy, financing, organizational development and many other areas. 

In 2022, The Fix team built and led the coalition of organizations to support the Ukrainian independent media sector after Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The coalition raised over 4 million euros to help sustain operations of Ukraine’s biggest independent media. This initiative later led to the establishment of The Fix Foundation.
